Coach Excursion - Paphos and Curium

• Short stop at Geroskipou village at the Cyprus Delights shop (approx. 15 mins)
• Stop at Aphrodite’s Rock / Birthplace of Aphrodite for photos and swimming (approx. 45 mins)

A guided coach excursion that will take you back in time as we visit archeological sites giving an insight into the ancient Greek civilisation!

Our first stop is Curium (Kourion), one of the most important archaeological sites of the island. Here you will see the ancient Greco-Roman theatre where gladiator games took place and the House of Eustolios with its mosaics and bath establishments. Curium is situated on a 100m limestone 'headland' overlooking the sea and offers some breathtaking views of the Episkopi Bay.

Continuing, we drive to Paphos, where you will have the chance (optional) to visit the UNESCO world Heritage Archaeological site of Mosaics. (The house of Dionysus) An interesting guided tour of the well preserved mosaics and palatial grounds and ruins. If you choose not to visit the Mosaic site, use this time to browse around the harbour and have lunch at your leisure.

Returning home, we stop at Geroskipou. The village where traditional Cyprus Delights are made – this local delicacy has been made in the village since 1895.

Our final stop is at the Rock of Aphrodite, which is the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of beauty and love. According to Greek mythology, as soon as Aphrodite was born, white sea foam carried her in the sea, from Kythera in Greece to Cyprus. As per the legend, anyone who swims around the Rock will be blessed with eternal beauty! Time will be given for photos and swimming before we drive back to the east coast of the island.

• You can carry food and drinks with you, but consumption is not allowed on the bus. Only water consumption is allowed on the bus.
